Small Groups and Ministries
At Northwood Christian Church, we believe the point of Christian life is not just going to church, but “being church” in our everyday lives. We are working diligently to develop a network of vibrant, engaging small groups and maintain ministries of the church. The idea of small groups is that they can gather just about anywhere, and do just about anything: study the bible, create art, watch movies, eat together, explore spiritual practices, write poetry, play music, etc. The content and venue may vary, but the purpose is the same: to gather together to share life, tell stories, pray, serve, and grow deeper into a life of faith.

Disciples Women’s Ministry
DWM provides opportunities for spiritual growth and service to empower women to use their voice in local congregations and to be a part of a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. DWM have two active circles that meet monthly: Electa Circle and Lydia Circle. For more information on when the next meeting is visit the Calendar/Events link.
Keenagers
This is an active group of seniors who meet once a month on Tuesday for fellowship and food. Whether they are taking in a tour of a local museum, attending a neighborhood crime watch presentation, a leisurely ride on a train, or a variety show put on by Northwood's own ....it's sure to be a great time. Ralph and Marciel Werking Food Pantry @ Northwood
At the heart of Northwood's ministry is our food pantry. The food pantry is open Saturday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 and currently serves all zip codes. The food pantry is always open and welcoming to anyone wanting to volunteer. For more information please contact the church at 283-1352.
Wednesday morning bible study
Come join us every Wednesday morning (summer excluded) at 8:30a in the Library as we study scripture. This group meets for a short 1-1.5hr. and time just seems to fly by. It's just the pick-me-up you need in the middle of the week. All are welcome!
